Rabatalu complex
The Rabatalu complex includes 9 different saunas:
Sauna house, film sauna, upright barrel sauna, barrel sauna, round and octagonal gourmet hot tubs, witch sauna, voodoo tent sauna and inferno.
For a party, we offer a warm and spacious indoor space:
The Middle-of-nowhere Tavern
We offer accommodation in:
The granary, the main house, the sauna house, the Sad Mare's stable and the children's hut.
NOTE: Our accommodation is rustic and simple.
After the sauna, you can enjoy a cold refreshment in our yard pond with a terrace, which we also use to cut an ice hole or make an ice rink in winter.
In 2020, we built a large mud football field, where in July we also organised the first and very successful mud football competition "Rabatalu Olympics in the Finnish way".
There is also a volleyball court, a barbecue area, an open loft, a smoke oven for smoking meat and a large swing tree.
In our pond there are koi, ide and amur fish and children love feeding them with bread in summer.
Near Rabatalu there is a large Muraka bog, where the farm owner Ronaldo organises great adventure days for both big and small visitors.
Sauna house
The sauna house in the yard of Rabatalu was built in 1935 and was completely renovated in 2018, in its original form and with natural materials. There is enough space for up to 14 people to party indoors, for 5–6 people to stay overnight, and up to 5 people can enjoy the sauna at the same time.
The sauna house has a wood-burning stove where you can cook, a wood-heated steam room, electricity, tap water and a washing facility like in the old days – using a bowl!
Film sauna
In just four days, the world's best film sauna with steam was built in 2019! The sauna can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people.
This is undoubtedly a top favourite because:
- it is built in the style of Lapland: the wind blows under your feet, but your body is in hot steam!
- you can enjoy a pleasant and mild steam, at max 80 °C.
- birch and juniper whisks are always waiting for you!
Upright barrel sauna
Upright barrel sauna or juniper aroma sauna. The sauna is equipped with LED lights from the inside out and the ceiling is covered with juniper bricks, the aroma of which cleanses your body and soul. The sauna is located on the shore of the pond, so quick cooling is just nearby.
Barrel sauna
Barrel sauna is also known as the romantic sauna. The romantic vibe is created by several LED lights and a large glass window overlooking the pond. The sauna also has a separate terrace, right by the pond.
Mobile hot tubs
This is a transportable hot tub that we rent all over Estonia! A very easy and cool way to add something special to your event! The width of the hot tub is 1.8 m and the height is 1 m, and it can accommodate about 8 people. The hot tub is suitable for all seasons and is a big favourite for the whole family!

Gourmet hot tubs
Rabatalu has a round and octagonal gourmet hot tubs equipped with bubble systems of the same capacity and LED lights.
If desired, we can use bog water, because that water has a wonderful property of making the skin silky soft and has a rejuvenating effect. It can accommodate around 8–10 people.
There are two hot tubs available on site – round and octagonal, with a capacity of 8–10 people.
Witch sauna
The witch sauna or the residence of Kunksmoor is our newest sauna and the most unique sauna in Viru County!
Legend has it that in this sauna women lose extra pounds especially quickly, get rid of bad gossip thoughts and also, magically, a bad man. In the moonlight, a witch has also been seen riding around the sauna.
The only thing that is horizontal in this sauna is the floor! Everything else is crooked, just like a true witch nose!
For those faint of heart, this sauna can even make your head spin! If desired, you can order onion or garlic sauna aroma.
On special request, Captain Trumm will cook you delicious, crispy, juicy sausages and jacked potatoes in the sauna directly on the stove. Fresh birch whisks are always waiting for you in this sauna (even in the middle of winter😉). The maximum load capacity is 222 kg.
Voodoo tent sauna
Our newest sauna got its name from one less-known Estonian voodoo witch. After some works, we decided to name the sauna “the Voodoo tent sauna”. The sauna can accommodate up to 10 people and we use all healing witch remedies for steam: garlic, onion, tansy, juniper, dried and crushed donkey balls, etc.
Inferno
We call all sinners! If you have sinned in your life, bring your inferno passport with you and set your steps directly to the INFERNO OF RABATALU! Here you can find out what hell on earth is really like! Only after that do you get permission to go to the above-ground paradise of Rabatalu...
The Middle-of-nowhere
Tavern
The old Estonian threshing barn has been renovated into a party hall that can accommodate around 50–60 people. It was named THE MIDDLE-OF-NOWHERE TAVERN. Here you can organise birthdays, weddings, seminars, summer days, etc.
In December, Santa Valdemar's office is located here.
Granary
The granary was built in 1935 and was renovated in 2019. It has a total of 2 rooms. One room has 3 double beds and the other room has 2 double beds and 1 single bed. Suitable for overnight stays all year round. The granary has pellet heating.
Sad Mare's stable
The accommodation rooms of the Sad Mare's stable are actually located in the former horse stable. During the Soviet times and the early years of the Republic of Estonia, horses named Tiks, Luhar and Juku lived in the stables. Why was it named Sad Mare's stable? Because back in the day when the stallions lived there, there was a great shortage of mares, and that is why the horses were sad.
The Sad Mare's stable has two rooms named Juku and Tiks.
Juku's room has a large marriage bed and Tiks's room has two single beds.
If you happen to quarrel at night, you can just move from Juku's room to Tiks's room.
Accommodation in
he main house
There's a single room in the main house where you can stay. The room has a double bed and functionalist style furniture. The room was renovated in 2022.
From this room there is direct access to the shower room, with toilet and bath.
Children's hut
The children's hut is a room built on top of the former horse stable loft, with 4 single beds. The children's hut is accessed via ladder. It is possible to stay in the children's hut during the spring-summer-autumn period.
